Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Named Professional for Safeguarding Children to joining our Safeguarding team within the Trust.

We are seeking an experience practitioner wishing to develop further into a leadership position. The successful post holder will be offering Safeguarding advice and guidance, supervision and training and taking the lead for identified safeguarding projects within our safeguarding improvement programme.
Applications are invited from suitably experienced practitioners for the post of Band 7 Named Professional for Safeguarding Children. This is a full-time, substantive post, primary covering BANES, Swindon and Wiltshire areas. Applicants must have nursing, substantial clinical experience and management experience in a specialist safeguarding role including specific post-registration training in safeguarding. Ideally this will be level 4 training.
The Safeguarding Team is a 9-5 service Monday - Friday.
The successful candidate will be required to work across all pathways and services.
Plenty of support and supervision is available and there are opportunities to develop professional skills.
This is a dedicated and passionate team which really cares about quality and is dedicated to helping vulnerable children and adults but also the staff who provide care and support to them.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
