Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

We employ over 4,000 dedicated members of staff who deliver services from more than 90 locations, working in approximately 150 teams across a geographical region of 2,200 miles, for a population of approximately 1.8million people.

We are passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. We strive to use the expertise and resources within our organisation, and through our partnerships, to deliver high quality services that are safe and focused on people's recovery. Our staff are pivotal in everything we do and we are committed to involving them fully in the development of the Trust and our services.

We are seeking an individual with interest and experience in emergency planning, resilience and response to join our busy Resilience Team.

We are seeking a committed, highly motivated and experienced Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Manager to lead on all aspects of this agenda within a large, geographically widespread and complex organisation. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Civil Contingencies Act and NHS Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response Framework 2015 and other relevant regulatory guidance and standards.

Working as part of a dynamic team with frequent liaison with leads and teams across the organisation, the post holder will be responsible for maintaining and improving the resilience of the Trust to threats and emergencies that may arise.

The post holder should have experience working within a healthcare setting and given the nature of the role, applicants must be willing and able to work flexibly and support the operational teams to manage incidents effectively.

This post would suit a keen and dynamic individual with an interest in emergency planning, project management, emergency response, and training. This specialist role requires excellent planning, attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.

We welcome applications from enthusiastic, committed individuals who are dedicated team players and have demonstrable supporting skills and experience to enable them to undertake this very important role.
