This is a fixed-term/secondment for 12  months. If you are an internal candidate on a substantive contract you may only apply for a secondment. An exciting opportunity has arisen within B&NES Primary Care Talking Therapies (IAPT) to join our growing Employment Support team as a full time Employment Advisor. The successful candidates will work alongside the Senior Employment Advisor, Employment Advisors and Clinical lead to be an integral part of the BPCTTS Employment Pathway.

Supporting the successful B&NES Talking Therapies Service, you will provide specialist Employment interventions for people accessing the service with mild to moderate mental health needs who require support to gain, return or retain employment.

As an Advisor with employability related experience, you will have empathy and experience of working with people who have mental health issues and ideally have an understanding of the barriers they face in accessing and retaining employment.

You will carry out vocational assessments for your caseload of clients, providing advice, guidance and support, working with the Therapists to create a bespoke action plan in line with their individual needs and chosen route in employment, training or volunteering.

This is a great opportunity to be part of an ambitious team that prides itself on its professionalism, values and the passion to make a real difference whilst being committed to developing and empowering the clients we support.
