Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is a significant provider of high quality mental health services across a core catchment area covering Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. The Trust also provides specialist services for a wider catchment extending throughout the south west.

Our aim is to enable and empower people to reach their potential and to live fulfilling lives through providing recovery and reablement focused services that yield positive outcomes for our service users and their carers.

Specifically, The Trust provides services for people with mental health needs, with needs relating to drug or alcohol dependency and mental health services for people with learning disabilities. We also provide secure mental health services and work with the criminal justice system.

Increasingly AWP provides treatment and care in people's own homes and other community settings, reflecting the preferences of our service users. Our community services are supported by high quality inpatient services that provide short term assessment, treatment and care.

Fromeside is an 81 bedded Medium Secure Unit based in Bristol, it has 7 male wards and 1 female service. At Fromeside we strive to provide patient centered care whilst fostering hope, empowerment and choice. Working in a secure setting requires outward thinking and innovative approaches from our staff whilst remaining committed to maintaining safety and security. We are always looking for staff that can help us develop further and help us take these services to the fore in the field of forensic services!

We have vacancies in our Acute, Rehab and Women’s Service

This is an innovative and creative unit that has fresh practices such as OTs working shifts, ensuring a high emphasis on groups and therapies within the wards. Service User involvement it as the heart of the work. The wards have highly skilled multi-disciplinary teams who work closely together to ensure excellence in service delivery.
We are looking for highly creative and motivated staff to join the team. Staff interested in working in a compassionate and inventive way and supporting the existing team in further developments. There will be opportunities to develop areas of interest and pursue further training.

Service users will be involved in the recruitment process.
