This is an opportunity for you to be part of a unique stepdown service in Bristol. The Unit is for service users from the acute service and supports their transition into the community. Larch aims to provide a calm and therapeutic environment. The average length of stay is 4 weeks.

We know that people stay out of hospital longer when they have better skills at looking after themselves both physically and psychologically.

Larch unit will allow staff to work intensively with Service Users assisting them in developing skills such as cooking and budgeting whilst also developing tools to manage their symptoms such as relapse prevention plans and early warning signs in order that they can maintain their Recovery

All of our transfers and discharges are planned allowing the Unit to individually tailor treatment plans to each Service User. We have a strong Occupational Therapy focus and you would be working alongside OTs.

We are a friendly and supportive team, committed to working collaboratively with service users and  carers  to achieve safe and well-planned discharges from hospital.

If you are enthusiastic about working intensively with Service Users and are fully committed to the concept of Recovery in Mental Health then we would like to hear from you. We put Recovery at the heart of everything we do.
