We are looking for a Health Care Support Worker who wish to work with adults On Acer Unit, Substance Misuse Detoxification Unit Specialized Services.

Health Care Support Workers on Acer Unit are an integral part of a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals that work to ensure that the clinical, environmental and social needs of our service users are met.  They are also very much involved in the therapeutic support to enable service users to get into Substance Misuse Recovery.  Our role is to work collaboratively with individuals to empower them in their Recovery and enable them to become more well and 'Have a Life Worth Living'.  Experience of having worked in a health care setting is desirable but not essential. The team on Acer Unit is committed to the continuing professional development of all staff and has a supportive training and supervision programme in place.

Successful candidates will be required to complete (or demonstrate previous completion of) the AWP Care Certificate. All 15 standards need to have been passed in order to advance beyond the probationary period. For details see document “Code of Conduct for Unregistered Practitioners.
