Are you passionate about the care and wellbeing of young people? Would you like to be involved in supporting vulnerable young people who are involved with the Youth Justice system? If so Vinney Green Wellbeing Team have a vacancy for a band 6 Mental Health Practitioner.

The team are NHS England funded to provide both mental health and physical health interventions within Vinney Green Secure Unit. The team form part of a National funded implementation of the secure stairs focusing on the development and roll out of an integrated care framework that addresses the needs of children and young people in Secure Children’s Homes, Secure Training Centre’s and Young Offender Institutions. This framework allows for a joined up approach to assessment, sentence / intervention planning and care, including input from mental health staff regardless of previous diagnosis, as well as from social care professionals, education professionals and the operational staff working on a day-to-day basis at the setting.  It also seeks to ensure that staff have the right skills and support to care for the children and young people appropriately.
