The STEPs Community Eating Disorder Service, based in Bristol, is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Clinical Psychologist to support their dynamic and compassionate team. The STEPs team is a welcoming team which has recently won the 2018 AWP service users and carer’s award.
The successful candidate will ideally have some post qualification experience, will have worked with the eating disorder client group and be passionate about working in this field. The post holder will be working closely with the STEPs MDT as well as providing a resource around the assessment, treatment and support of people with eating disorders throughout AWP. They will offer specialist supervision, training and support to other clinicians, supporting their work with people with eating disorders. The main focus of the role will be to deliver evidence based treatments for users of the STEPs service. The successful candidate will be working predominately with outpatients, but there is also scope to work with inpatients, either individually or in group. Specialist supervision from the lead Clinical Psychologist, as well as group supervision in the service will be available. External as well as in house training will be available. There will also be an expectation that the post holder will play a role in service evaluation and audit. There are opportunities to get involved in research through the eating disorder health integration team (www.bristolhealthpartners.org.uk), which has strong links to the local Universities.
