An opportunity has arisen to provide locum consultant cover to the STEPs Specialist Eating Disorders (ED) Services based in Bristol.

The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership to a 10 bedded NHSE commissioned in patient EDU (QED accredited 2019), to a Community MDT ED service (alongside  a  substantive consultant)  covering the Avon region (population 1.1 million including 4 large universities), and to an innovative primary care ED service commissioned by Bristol CCG (alongside  a substantive consultant).

The successful candidate will be working with an experienced and dedicated MDT. The STEPS EDU is currently working within the Oxford New Care Model Network. This network provides support and sharing of expertise on a weekly basis.

The post holder will have the opportunity to develop as a trainer and teacher. The successful candidate will provide clinical supervision to the foundation year 1 doctor attached to the EDU. 

Applicants should demonstrate outstanding leadership and be flexible and able to work under pressure. The ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team is essential.
