Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

We employ over 4,000 dedicated members of staff who deliver services from more than 90 locations, working in approximately 150 teams across a geographical region of 2,200 miles, for a population of approximately 1.8million people.

We are passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. We strive to use the expertise and resources within our organisation, and through our partnerships, to deliver high quality services that are safe and focused on people's recovery. Our staff are pivotal in everything we do and we are committed to involving them fully in the development of the Trust and our services.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team based in Bristol. We welcome applications from registered qualified pharmacists who are looking to broaden their horizons within mental healthcare. You will have opportunity to work with a range of clinical teams, multiple therapy areas, prescribers, external providers and specialist pharmacy teams and leads.

Our Pharmacy Department is currently undergoing extensive and exciting developments to further improve the services it provides to our service users. We are friendly and innovative and are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, motivated individual. You will be fully supported and training will be provided. We are always looking at new ways to develop and grow our service and are keen to hear from likeminded individuals.

Relevant post registration experience in hospital pharmacy, the demonstration of good communication skills and sound current clinical knowledge will be essential to being effective in this role. You will have at least a post-graduate certificate in clinical pharmacy and be working toward your diploma, or be able to demonstrate similar levels of experience.

This post will involve working as a member of the multidisciplinary teams within the specialties, to provide high quality, professional and specialist input into the delivery of clinical and operational pharmacy services.

Informal visits to come and meet our friendly and innovative team are encouraged.
