STEPs EDU has an exciting career opportunity to join the team at Blackberry Hill Site in Bristol, We are a 10 bedded inpatient unit.  We would ask that you are motivated and have an interest in working with people with eating disorders. You will be joining a nursing team that is hard working and have a sense of team working linked with a brilliant supervision structures in place. This post filled with developmental opportunities, through this support there is the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in eating disorders, and also have a link to other specialised mental health services.

We are looking for HCA’s who have received an NVQ level 3 in care or can demonstrate substantial equivalent experience gained in a role supporting people with significant health or social care needs. You will be able to demonstrate an understanding of how mental health issues can affect people and be flexible and adaptable to change. Experience of working as part of a team is also important as well as your ability to lead others in delivering specific interventions

As a HCSW in a 24 hour care service, working a shift pattern is mandatory as is working some nights, weekends and bank holidays. This role also involves managing aggressive/challenging behaviours so candidates must be physical fit to complete our Prevention and management of violence and aggression training that will be provided.
