We are currently developing a new Women’s Service at Callington Road Hospital and Silver Birch is the only women’s acute ward within the Trust. We are a 19 bedded adult acute mental health ward and work closely with the other inpatient wards on the hospital site. This is an opportunity to be involved in the development of a new service and work with service users from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures who are experiencing an acute episode of mental health problems.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our experienced and cohesive team. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality, evidence-based individualised care. The emphasis is on providing a therapeutic environment, allowing individuals to recover in a safe and supportive environment. We work closely with carers and community services to support service users during their admission and on discharge back in to the community and engagement with women’s services in Bristol will be an important part of the role.

The appointee will be required to work a rotational 24 hour shift pattern and will need to complete PMVA training.
