South Gloucestershire is a semi rural area just north of Bristol. Its secondary community mental health services are delivered from locations across the area with teams based in Kingswood and Thornbury.
You will work as a member of the multidisciplinary Psychological Therapies Team (PTS), based at Kingswood Civic Centre. The team is well established and supportive with good relationships with the other teams in the area. It offers a range of therapies for adults with complex mental health difficulties and you will provide clinical leadership and specialist supervision to the MBT Service
In addition, you will provide specialist supervision, both on an individual basis and in groups, to other clinicians/teams throughout AWP. You will also develop and deliver training for colleagues to support the delivery of treatment for service user with a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
We are seeing to appoint a specialist psychological therapist who holds a postgraduate psychological therapy qualification, for example Doctoral Clinical Psychology, Arts Psychotherapy qualification, MA in Psychotherapy or Group Therapist training.
You will be HPC/UKCP/BPC Registered and will have completed post qualification and further specialist training in both MBT and Supervision.
You will have excellent communication and engagement skills, and experience of working in an MBT service within an organisation that provides secondary mental health services. You will have the skills and resources to work autonomously but will enjoy working collaboratively, as part of a team, to provide high quality, specialist psychological services.
