This post offers the opportunity to participate in a proactive and innovative service development project. We are looking for an experienced Learning Disability nurse to join the Community Forensic Learning Disability Scoping Project in Swindon and Wiltshire.
The project will run until March 2020 with potential to extend, and will play a key role in the scoping and service planning for the development of a dedicated forensic learning disabilities service within Swindon and Wiltshire.
The post holder will have experience of forensic learning disability services and experience of providing training, assessment, intervention and consultation for people with learning disabilities who have engaged in offending behaviour and their parents/carers and families. The project will require the postholder to work collaboratively and establish excellent working relationships in partner agencies and organisations across Wiltshire.
The post holder will be part of a specialist project team, working alongside a consultant clinical psychology and a specialist learning disability nurse.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
