Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry. This is a part time post, 5 PAs per week for a period of 6 months based at Green Lane Hospital, Devizes, Wiltshire.
Wiltshire is a beautiful county of chalk plains with eight White Horse chalk figures on hillsides, river valleys, ancient monuments and world heritage sites including Avebury and Stonehenge.
The West Wiltshire and Devizes, CMHT operates a 5 day a week service. The team is ageless working with adults of all ages, although workers work primarily with either adults of working age or older adults. The postholder will provide input and leadership to the team with particular responsibility for patients from surgeries in Devizes, Melksham and Trowbridge.
Devizes has a weekly Academic programme with outside speakers. In addition there is a monthly PDP group and Peer Supervision. CPD activities are supported. The applicant would be expected to participate.
Medical students from Bristol University are placed at Green Lane Hospital and therefore teaching opportunities might be available if this would be of interested.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
