Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. BLUEBELL UNIT Health Base Place of Safety

We are looking to recruit a driven and passionate mental health nurse to work in the newly developed Centralised Place of Safety Service at Green Lane Hospital in Wiltshire. The Centralised Place of Safety service is a new purpose built, specifically designed unit which facilitates all Section 136/ 135 admissions for East of the Trust.

You will be joining a dedicated multi-disciplinary team specialised in the assessment and management of persons experiencing mental health crisis. This will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of a Gold Standard National Model for the provision of crisis care.

The Centralised Place of Safety also includes a dedicated CAMHs suite for the new Wiltshire wide NHS England Place of Safety specification and pathway. As such we have been involved in the formulation of and have been able to build the service around this transformational guidance.

The nursing team will consist of a Modern Matron, Ward Manager, two Clinical Charge Nurses, seven Staff Nurses and seven Health Care Support Workers. There will be opportunities for close working with other agencies including those from Social Services, CAMHS and the general medical setting (A&E).
