The Daisy Unit is looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced Clinical Psychologist to join the team. You would have the opportunity to take a leadership role within an inpatient staff team providing care to residents who have complex health needs including learning disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge and trauma. This is an exciting role that will involve the provision of psychological interventions and psychological working within the unit. The core components of the role include working with a dedicated staff team to meet the needs of the five residents, to continue to embed the Positive Behaviour Support Model within the team and support the families of the residents. You would have the opportunity to lead a small team of Psychology Assistants in the provision of specialist individual psychological interventions, work with families/friends and to provide psychological expertise within the staff team. You would be taking a lead role in developing communication and dissemination of psychological knowledge to the staff team and the development of a psychologically informed environment.

You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated to provide a good quality, evidence based psychological service within a dynamic environment, with experience of systemic working. You work be expected to have experience of supporting and providing leadership within the completion of projects or other clinical based initiatives, for example implementing psychologically informed working within complex systems. You would be expected to have excellent communication skills and to work to embed psychological ways of working within the system and to work closely with families/friends to provide specialist interventions and support as required.

You must have the necessary professional qualification, including current registration as outlined in the person specification.
