This is an exciting opportunity to join the Mental Health Primary Care Liaison (PCL) service in Wiltshire. This service has now been successfully operating for 7 years. It was introduced with the aim of improving recognition and treatment of mental health problems among people in primary care. The post holder will prioritise assessments based on clinical need and risk, making evidence-based recommendations for care and treatment within and across multiple care pathways.
You will work in a team of highly skilled mental health clinicians providing rapid and specialist advice to primary care practitioners, to ensure pathway facilitation. This post will provide the opportunity to work alongside various professional groups including GP’s, social workers, midwives and emergency services personnel.
You will have extensive knowledge and experience of working with mental health problems and possess advanced assessment and formulation skills. We would welcome applicants with relevant registration who are keen to develop their clinical skill base.
You will be dynamic, flexible and able to work autonomously but still a good team player. You will have a good sense of humour and positive outlook to work within a fast paced environment.
In return for this you would be offered continued training, and an opportunity to contribute to service development whilst working within a friendly and supportive team
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
