Band 3: SUPPORT RECEPTIONIST –

Part time Ad Hoc hours for Sites based in North and Central Bristol

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced receptionist to join our friendly administration team.

Our receptions are open & staffed between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday. Part time workers will be required to start at 09:00 or 13:00.

The role will provide a central point of contact for the building or site, as well as provision of front of house reception duties. You will be dealing directly with members of the public, carers, services users and their families.

We are looking for excellent communication and organisation skills together with a confident and pleasant telephone manner. Attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure are skills that are vital in this often busy role. Administrative tasks included within the role require PC skills, including Microsoft Office suite. Training for any additional bespoke systems will be provided. Previous experience of working in a reception environment is required, however, as with systems, full training for each location will be provided.

The role will suit an enthusiastic ‘Can-do’ person & a keen team player. Some understanding of mental healthcare service provision is desirable. Whilst working direct from whichever site you are allocated to, you report into a central team, who will be there to both advise and support you.

The post holder will be required to provide cover for reception duties across different sites within the North and Central Bristol areas. Sites include one based in the Southmead Hospital grounds, one in Southmead village, others in the community including a central Bristol location just behind the Bristol Royal Infirmary and one in the Fishponds area of the city.

The ability to drive and have access to your own vehicle is therefore essential. Travel expenses will be paid, subject to procedure.

There is visitor parking at Southmead Hospital and a comprehensive bus network. Free parking is available at the Greenway Centre on a first come first served basis. The site behind the Bristol Royal Infirmary has no parking on site but has on street parking nearby and is on a public transport route. The Speedwell Centre has on street parking nearby.
