Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

Opportunities have arisen within our inpatient admin teams and we are seeking enthusiastic and proactive Band 3 Ward Clerks.
You need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be dealing with telephone calls, emails and face to face interactions from service users, carers, staff and other professional bodies, as well as outside organisations and members of the general public.
You will be working as part of a busy ward team as a ward clerk, supporting the inpatient ward teams with undertaking admin tasks including taking minutes, filing, scanning and ordering.
The role will require attention to detail and be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel. There will be an expectation to undertake training on additional computer systems.
You will need to be able to prioritise and organize your own workload in order to ensure effective and efficient support to clinical staff and the team.
We have two posts – 1 x full time (Mon to Fri) on Ashdown ward and 1 x part time (Mon to Weds) on Beechlydene ward , the post holders will be required to work from 9.00am to 5.00pm based at Fountain Way Hospital, Salisbury. However there may be a need for you to work from other sites on occasions and so would ask that you are flexible and able to travel when required to do so
