Amblescroft South Ward is a 20 bedded short stay unit based in Salisbury which provides assessment and support to people with both organic and functional mental health problems.

Our goal is to enable our service users to make the best use of their abilities to gain self - respect, to be able to make choices and to keep hold of their independence. We know the importance of seeing the whole person, listening to what they are saying through their behaviour and placing their feelings at the forefront of their care.

We are looking to recruit an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic activity coordinator to promote and provide a range of activities across Amblescroft South.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the Multi-disciplinary team to provide meaningful and appropriate activities to individuals on the ward.

 The successful candidate will need to be passionate about dementia care and demonstrate their enthusiasm and motivation to make a real difference working within our trust values. They must be able to work as part of a team but also under their own initiative to provide and co-ordinate activities.

 It is expected that the post holder will work shifts which would include evening shifts and a minimum of 2 weekends per month.
