We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

We employ over 4,000 dedicated members of staff who deliver services from more than 90 locations, working in approximately 150 teams across a geographical region of 2,200 miles, for a population of approximately 1.8million people.

We are passionate about promoting good mental health and wellbeing. We strive to use the expertise and resources within our organisation, and through our partnerships, to deliver high quality services that are safe and focused on people's recovery. Our staff are pivotal in everything we do and we are committed to involving them fully in the development of the Trust and our services.

Amblescroft South Ward is a purpose built short term Dementia assessment unit based in Salisbury.

This is an active, enjoyable and rewarding Band 3 Health Care Support Worker role within a team, applying person centered assessment for people experiencing changes in needs due to their illness.

Working alongside colleagues from Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and the Care Home Liaison services, you will be developing further a culture that puts the person’s feelings at the forefront of their care.
The person we are looking for must have a desire to develop their role in this area.

Interest in developing assessment processes in dementia care would be advantageous.

Successful candidates will be required to complete (or demonstrate previous completion of) the Care certificate.

Our team works within a modern purpose built environment within the medieval cathedral city of Salisbury. The city has excellent road, rail, bus and coach links to London, Stonehenge, Bath and the South Coast, excellent 'park and ride' facilities, and a great network of pedestrian and cycle paths to explore the surrounding countryside.

We are committed to supporting new employees through full induction, training and supervision.
