We are looking to appoint a Team Manager to the South Bristol CAMHS service. The team are looking to either appoint a candidate at Band 7 who demonstrates relevant competencies and skills at time of appointment or there is an opportunity to take this on as a Band 6 developmental post with a plan towards achieving a Band 7.

This is an exciting time to join a rapidly changing service, adapting to meet the mental health needs of the children and young people in Bristol. Service change is based on the I-thrive model of delivering care.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking to recruit a band 7 team manager to South Bristol CAMHS. The post is open to a candidate at band 7 level and we would also consider a developmental post if they had relevant clinical CAMHS experience, experience of offering clinical supervision and caseload management and some level of leadership that could be developed.

What can we offer you?

Working in vibrant South Bristol CAMHS you would be supported to develop the core competencies required to become an effective team manager, this would include management and CAMHS training and could be tailored to the post holder's needs.

Working in partnership with the clinical service manager, the post holder will ensure excellent clinical standards are maintained within the team, and ensure the best use of available resources by delivering positive outcomes for individual service users and their families.

As well as managing the team there is the opportunity to work clinically within the team for a day and a half per week. This is likely to include core locality work including assessing new patients and holding a small caseload.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess all the key requirements lined out in the job description at time of appointment.  

If appointed into a Band 6 developmental post support will be given for you to develop competencies with attainment assessed 10 months from date of appointment. Support to attain these competencies will be agreed prior to any offer of employment. For you to continue in the role, you must obtain these competences within 10 months of appointment as the successful post holder is required to possess these.   

The post-holder will manage, direct and lead a recovery orientated, multi-disciplinary integrated team in a community Child and Adolescent mental health setting.

This post is for Part Time 30 Hours per week. 2.5 days Team Manager 1.5 Days Clinical.
