Clinical Psychologist/CBT Therapist/Psychological Therapist

South Wiltshire and Dorset including Salisbury and Tidworth

Would you like to work with Veterans in the South West in our expanding and evolving service?

We are pleased to announce we have funding to look for enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologists/CBT Therapists/Psychological Therapists to join our Veterans Complex Treatment Service (CTS).

Successful applicants will be providing specialist assessments, formulations and evidence-based psychological interventions following NICE guidance. Where appropriate, you will be involved in consultation and liaison to multidisciplinary mental health staff, third-sector agencies and other, non-professional carers. You will contribute to the clinical supervision of other professionals, who may include less experienced therapists, assistant psychologists and trainee clinical Psychologists, as appropriate. There will be opportunities to contribute to audits, service evaluation and research, as well as to the development and provision of training, focussed on raising awareness of veterans’ needs and psychological interventions for veterans presenting with complex mental health needs.

We are looking for Clinical Psychologists/CBT Therapists/Psychological Therapists to be based from home or NHS bases in a number of regions. The roles we are looking to fill are covering:

- South Wiltshire and Dorset including Salisbury and Tidworth

- Taunton and Somerset

- Bristol and Gloucestershire

Please indicate  in your application which area you are interested in working. There will be opportunity to discuss regions further and we can adopt a flexible approach with recruitment to these posts.

The Service’s Operational Base is in Weston-super-Mare and you will be required to travel to other parts of the South West for training and meetings, though we do successfully use Skype for Business to try and keep this need manageable and to a minimum. Being a car driver is an essential for this role due to the geographical range covered.
