Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) provides inpatient and community-based mental health care for people living in Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES), Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire. We also provide specialist services extending throughout the south west.

Band 3 Ward Clerk – Applewood

An opportunity has arisen within our Applewood admin team and we are seeking an enthusiastic Band 3 Ward Clerk.

The post holder should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as you will be dealing with telephone calls, emails and face to face interactions from service users, carers, staff and other professional bodies, as well as outside organisations and members of the general public.

You will be working as part of a busy team as a ward clerk, supporting the inpatient ward team with undertaking admin tasks including filing, scanning and ordering.

The role will require attention to detail and be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel. There will be an expectation to undertake training on additional computer systems.

You will need to be able to prioritise and organise your own workload, as well as part of a busy team, in order to ensure effective and efficient support to clinical staff and the team.

The post will be required to work 37.5 hours a week (working 8-4/9-5 over five days), based at Sandalwood Court, Swindon.
