Would you like to work with Veterans in the South West in our expanding and evolving service? An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Practitioner to join our Veterans Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service (TILS).
Successful applicants will lead service improvement and inspire the team to deliver a high quality and effective service, for service users and carers. Working in partnership with the team manager and clinical lead, the post holder will ensure excellent clinical standards and effective caseload management; this will be underpinned by robust and effective individual and team supervision processes and you will contribute to the supervision of others within the team.
The post is 60/40 clinical/service improvement split and you will continue to provide specialist assessments, develop recovery focussed person centred care plans, risk assessment and management plans under the overarching framework of the CPA. The post holder will also demonstrate in their day to day clinical work an area of practice e.g. CBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy following evidence based NICE guidance.
The South West Veterans Transition, Intervention and Liaison Service works in partnership with Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT). Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) are responsible for the service delivery across the South West, which covers Devon, Cornwall, North Somerset, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and Dorset. BHFT are responsible for the service delivery across the South Central region, which covers Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire Berkshire, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. AWPs Service’s Operational Base is in Weston-super-Mare and you will be required to travel for training. We are successfully using an online platform for meetings and the delivery of interventions, except where clinical needs dictates.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
