Are you a dedicated Later Life Psychiatrist looking for a new opportunity?

The Trust is seeking a full time consultant psychiatrist to join the Older Adults Inpatient service, currently 10 functional beds (Cove Ward) and 14 organic beds (Dune Ward), based at The Long fox Unit, Weston-super-Mare.   This is one of 4 posts providing specialist later life mental health and memory services in the North Somerset area.

You will join a multidisciplinary team providing highly specialist assessment and treatment to service users whose circumstances or needs mean they cannot be treated and supported appropriately at home or in any other environment.

You will provide care to patients with functional illness referred predominantly from the North Somerset area. The organic beds are provided for patients from the whole BNSSG area, (North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire).

The post is supported by a full time staff grade, an F2 doctor and a full time GP trainee.

You will be encouraged and supported to be involved in service leadership and management and to develop an area of special clinical interest in line with service needs.

We offer one of the most competitive and flexible benefits packages.
